My name was Robin Hood and I traveled the woods of WV with my Merry Men. One day while helping the poor and needy I got myself caught by this guy called a dog warden!! He asked for my identification well now that’s just plain silly Robin Hood doesn’t carry identification I mean I steal from the rich to feed the poor! He should have been able to tell that from the bone I just took from the overweight Rottweiler up the street that I was in the process of taking to the poor lab chained outside a few miles down the road sigggghhhhhhh. Anyhooo the man would not listen to reason and took me to this big noisy building filled with lots of dogs that really needed to learn to be quiet or if they were going to have choir practice needed to learn to sing! I was quietly planning my escape and hoping that my Merry Men were too when I began to feel a little under the weather I was picked up and taken to this human who poked and probed me. He was very lucky I am to much a gentleman to bite because I certainly didn’t appreciate whatever it was he stuck up my butt or the piece of metal he poked me with not once but a few times!!! Finally when he was done messing with me I was taken by this really nice lady who took me out of the building that seemed to be a dog version of American Idol gone bad and to her house where I could get some sleep, get better and plan my next move. I was about to make a break for it when the lady decided to take me for a ride again BROTHER I thought if I am going back to where we were I might have to resort to acting ferocious! I found myself put in this thing with wheels and taken on a trip again with the singing choir YIKES! After what seemed like forever we arrived in a spot where I was handed off to another human who gave me smooshy kisses and seemed very glad to see me as if I was her long lost friend. She talked rather funny and seemed to think that after I took a quick restroom break we should get back in another thing on wheels and off we went again for another long trip. We then arrived at this home with a pretty young maiden with 4 paws. One look and I knew she would fall for me I mean all maidens do I’m Robin Hood for goodness sakes! Well to my surprise this maiden played hard to get and I have had to work very hard to win her over with my charms. Now I am pretty sure I am no where close to my old stomping grounds and I will have to find myself another group of Merry Men but I haven’t quite given up on my old ways. With that being said I hate to tell on myself but someone is going to need a really good fence to keep me from “straying” so please unless you have a fence do not setup a date I just won’t be able to help myself its like you humans with potatoe chips you just can’t stop yourselves from eating the whole bag!!! Let's talk about snuggling, I have really learned to enjoy this thing called a couch and “human attention” I also am helping my human to stay fit by making sure he exercises each day with at least a 1.5 mile walk so if you are a slacker yeah its not gonna work. I am thinking that I will change my mission from stealing from the rich to feed the poor to walking my human so he eats no more!

We do not adopt dogs to renters. Some dogs will have fence requirements while others may not. A pet is a lifetime commitment. The dogs and cats in our system find themselves there, for the most part, because their humans did not have the same loyalty to them as they did to their owners.
