Bindi in a sweet little girl that came to us on 3/19/11. We are not 100% sure what mix she is, although she has various personality traits of a border collie. We are thinking she may have some pit bull in her as well. She is already housebroken and whines at the door to go out. We have discovered that she knows basic commands and a few tricks! So far we have found she knows sit, stay, down, come, sit pretty, and speak. Bindi has already won over everyone in her foster family's hearts. Just like you would expect out of a border collie mix, she does show interest in herding/chasing the cats at times. However, with a simple no command or leave it, she moves on. She has been nose to nose with one of the family cats and did great, and let him rub up against her. The other dog in the foster family and her get along well. She loves to play ball and play with anything squeaky she can fit in her mouth. We will update as we get to know her more. Feel free to email me with any questions you may have and I will answer them the best I can. Bindi needs an active family that will give her plenty of exercise! Every border collie needs a job so please don't choose a border collie if you are looking for a couch potato. We do not adopt dogs to renters. Some dogs will have fence requirements while others may not. A pet is a lifetime commitment. The dogs and cats in our system find themselves there, for the most part, because their humans did not have the same loyalty to them as they did to their owners. We do not take the adoption process lightly, and will do everything in our power to make sure the animal is placed correctly the first time around for your sake and theirs.
