Hatty Girl needs a caretaker or foster!
Won't you consider helping her get a new start?
2nd Chance 4 Life Rescue is primarily a sanctuary for senior and medically needy dogs. Every once in awhile you will see younger dogs but for the most part our dogs live out their life at the ranch at the request of their previous owners or their owners families. We have many sponsorship dogs. Our sponsors love to keep in touch and know how their sponsored fur buddy is doing :) When we have foster families we are thrilled to be able to take adoptable younger dogs :) So if you have ever thought about becoming fosters please feel free to go to our foster/volunteer page and fill out an application. The Ranch located at 737 Taylor Rd., Windsor, PA is always looking for dedicated volunteers that will commit to at least a 2 hour shift per week at the rescue. Volunteers work in play yards, help with laundry and feeding. Some enjoy landscaping or carpentry projects and some like to bake for the healing center visitors :) Thank you for supporting our mission of caring for the elderly and medically needy souls that need us!

Foster Update 8/24/12. Sweet doesn't begin to describe this smart fluffy cutie pie! Even though she was made to have puppies and be a Momma there is a lot of puppy play left in this little girl! She loves to play ring around the tree with her foster siblings and when its time to be quiet she loves to just sit and be petted on your lap. She sleeps on the bed or a comfy blanket on the floor depending on her taste in the evening. She is not too fond of a crate but tolerates it a short time. She should not be in a home where she would be crated frequently. She would love a home with a small-medium sized freindly dog to run and play with. A home with older children who can be respectful of her gentle nature would be best. So if you want a wonderful addition to your family, fill out an application and meet this little dream girl!
Intake Comments: Hatty is super sweet and didn't deserve to be dumped at the high kill shelter! Her family made her have puppies and then as soon as the puppies were done feeding off Hatty the family was done with her :( So sad! That is why spay/neuter is soooo important! Hatty is a poodle/schnauzer according to her family. She is loveable and gets along with other dogs. We have promised her that her next family will be her forever family and treat her a WHOLE LOT better!!
Please understand we do not adopt out dogs to families with children under the age of 5. We do not adopt dogs to renters. Some dogs will have fence requirements while others may not.
A pet is a lifetime commitment. The dogs and cats in our system find themselves there, for the most part, because their humans did not have the same loyalty to them as they did to their owners. We do not take the adoption process lightly, and will do everything in our power to make sure the animal is placed correctly the first time around for your sake and theirs. Thank you for choosing to adopt not shop!
