Blackberry showed up with her 3 siblings in a box on a cool March day at a rural shelter in WV. They had no idea why they were left :( They are sweet little babies who need a human that values them and wants to be their "forever friend". Blackberry is now safely in her foster home. She has been through a lot in her short 12 weeks on this earth, but she is an absolute sweetheart. She is a little bundle of energy. She is still in that clumsy phase so she trips over her feet, falls into her water bowl and tumbles around after her toys. It is adorable. She is also a complete cuddler. When you pick her up she instantly goes into cuddle mode and give hugs and nuzzles your neck. She loves chasing my other dogs around, bouncing from the little chihuahua to the pitbull...she'll play with anyone! She has the personality that will make her that perfect dog that is faithfully by your side every chance she has. Did I mention the puppy breath? That said, please remember that she is a puppy. With that comes potty accidents, some crying when she goes in her crate, a chewed shoe or two and probably a few other surprises along the way. She doesn't know any better and she will depend on you to teach her how to be the perfect companion that she wants to be. This is a BIG job but is well worth the effort to have a lifelong friend that will love you unconditionally all day, every day for the rest of her life! Blackberry says PLEASE if you cannot commit to her for life, do not fill out an application. She doesn't want to be "dumped" ever again!!! NOTE: Blackberry is a very busy little girl. She would do best with a fenced in yard or with a family that can provide her with lots of exercise so that she can burn some of her puppy energy. She is crate trained during the day, but she is VERY ready to play when we get home from work. We do not adopt dogs to renters. Some dogs will have fence requirements while others may not. A pet is a lifetime commitment. The dogs and cats in our system find themselves there, for the most part, because their humans did not have the same loyalty to them as they did to their owners. We do not take the adoption process lightly, and will do everything in our power to make sure the animal is placed correctly the first time around for your sake and theirs.
