My Buddy was dropped off at the shelter when his owner decided he couldn't take care of him anymore; so unfair for such a loving and loyal companion. He has happily accepted a foster spot at 2nd Chance and is back to loving life while he awaits his new forever family. Buddy is a senior and is eligible for our seniors for seniors discount; but don't tell him that because I don't think he knows he's a senior.
Buddy loves to explore his environment at his methodical pace, taking note of every nook and cranny...and yes, he remembers each and every one! Once he knows his environment he is content to hang out with his people and any canine siblings. He is content to sit in a lap, but just as happy to stretch out on the floor next to your feet. He is house trained and will let you know when he needs to go out, arriving back at your feet when he is finished with his business. He is also a neat eater, a studious car rider, a gentleman for a bath, will sit patiently for a brush or ear cleaning, and is a joy on a leash for short walks. In short, he is an all around wonderful companion that won't need all of the training and energy of a younger, less mature dog. Won't you consider brightening Buddy's golden years as a member of your family & he will brighten your family ten-fold in return with his love and attention.

More about BuddyGood with Dogs, Good with Kids Please understand we do not adopt out dogs to families with children under the age of 5. We do not adopt dogs to renters. Some dogs will have fence requirements while others may not. A pet is a lifetime commitment. The dogs and cats in our system find themselves there, for the most part, because their humans did not have the same loyalty to them as they did to their owners. We do not take the adoption process lightly, and will do everything in our power to make sure the animal is placed correctly the first time around for your sake and theirs.
